1936
Creation of the company "CONFISERIE DU
LITTORAL"
by Mr Laurent Fayet. It is a little trade company, specialised
in olives.
The company is based in Sète, international Commercial port.
This geographic situation is very important thanks to the
overseas 11111commercial relations between Sète and Algeria.
1939
Starting of the Second World War: The commercial activities
of the company are stopped until the end of the war.
1973
MR JEAN-YVES SERRE, nephew of Mr Fayet, took
over the company.
Mr Serre developed « Confiserie du Littoral » as a commercial
brand.
1975
Creation of the first preparations & recipes
with olives (green and black) for cocktails
1975-90
The Company CONFISERIE DU LITTORAL knows, at
this time,
a great rise.
Development of the prepared olives range to be conditioned
in jars and pails.
1991
Association of CONFISERIE DU LITTORAL with
MENGUY'S group: creation of the company BARNIER PRODUCTION
subsidiary of the Holding SOFICOR representing the MENGUY’S
brand.
1992
Construction of the new production site in Frontignan, with
sanitary and security controls (CEE Agreement).
New conditioning of the olives in bags.
1995 : BARNIER starts its
quality certification « ISO 9002 ».
1998 : BARNIER is the first company
certified « ISO 9002 ».
2003 : BARNIER is certified
« ISO 9001 » version 2000.
2007 : BARNIER is certified « BRC
» version 4.
2008 : BARNIER is certified
« BRC » + « IFS » version 5.
